Dear Sir or Madam: I can only offer the highest recommendation for Racha Cherradi to support her application for admission to your University. Racha has a deep passion for science and is one of the few exceptionally brilliant interns that I have encountered in my career as a Radiologist and Professor. During the summer of 2018, Racha was actively seeking new opportunities that support her love for science. Her vacation to Morocco became an exploration for pursuing her personal interests. Although she did not know French medical terminology, that did not stop her from applying.
When I first encountered Racha during the interview, I noticed her relaxed and easy going nature. She successfully responded to all my questions in a genuine manner and without a second thought. When she spoke of her future, her eyes sparkled. She wants to participate in research, possibly find new medical advancements to bring hope for those suffering from debilitating conditions. She was one of the youngest students chosen to participate as an intern on the basis of her self-motivation and commitment.
In a frame of two weeks, Racha quickly shared her friendship with a number of technicians and was happy to become apart of the Radiology Cabinet. She worked closely with the medical and paramedical staff while shadowing various examinations: computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging, echography, sonography, bone densitometry, x-rays, panoramic radiography, and mammography. She demonstrated the qualities of a mature, confident woman who challenges herself. The first day of her internship, I found her in my office intriguingly reading a French medical terminology textbook.
All of our reports are in French and she wanted to take full advantage of her learning experience. She is a quick learner.
As her mentor, I have found Racha to be analytical, conscientious, compassionate, and tenacious who is willing to go beyond what is required. Her diligence, work ethic, and thirst for knowledge are quite rare amongst high school students. Her unwavering devotion to radiology exemplifies her capacity to do more. As a scientist, she was always meticulous when reading images, she read detailed diagnostic reports, she collaborated well with others, and she successfully led panoramic screenings. Racha truly exhibits the qualities of a leader. I will be using Racha as my background reference when evaluating prospective interns.
Many interns are high-demanding, always needing direct supervision. However, Racha is different. She has a unique set of qualities that distinguish her from other applicants. She is invigorating and goal-oriented, always taking tasks with passion. Her warm personality coupled with her sensitivity and concern for others enriches the lives around her. She improved the Radiology Cabinet’s environment, and I cannot thank her more than enough. I have rarely been able to recommend someone without reservation. It is a pleasure to do so in case of one of my finest, most well-rounded interns. Racha is a true wonder, filled with reserve power to do more and outstanding skills for scientific work. I give her my highest recommendation for further education at your prestigious university, where she can make valuable world-wide contributions. She is one of those rare people that you may come across two or three times in life. You will not be disappointed.
