Dangerous Lifestyle Among Young People

The American identity is all going downhill, it is essentially dying. The American identity is making kids of today do stuff that past generations never would have done. There are to many kids that are just passing away way to young because what they think they are doing is “cool.” There are to many kids that are dropping out because they think they don’t need school, they think they will survive without it. The worst thing is if they don’t die and they don’t dropout they still might be in poverty, and if being dumb and broke are combined it’s not good.

The people living in America should try to fix this, encourage kids to not be dumb and make certain mistakes. America should encourage being in school and going to a good college so we don’t have to worry about poverty.

The American identity is not heading towards a good place because too many kids are passing away young, there are more high school dropouts by the year, and poverty is on the rise.

Kids are passing away way to young in life this is something that is very tragic and something needs to change.This is because in certain cities all kids know is one way of life, that way of life is survival of the fittest. 14% of all teens in America are in gangs, they start young and they are lucky if they end old. They don’t know what’s best for them they grew up thinking that being in a gang was there only option.

They probably didn’t have someone they could trust so they turned to being apart of a gang.

People need someone that they can trust, that they can rely on. If teens aren’t in a gang there is a big chance that they have depression. Depression is huge in America’s identity, every 100 minutes a teen takes there own life because of depression. Suicide is the third leading cause of death in ages 15-24 in America that should speak for itself. The number of people being treated for it is low, only 30% of people with depression are being treated for. This all has to do with not being able to have someone that you trust that you can talk to.

This is just one of the issues affecting America’s identity at this time. Highschool dropouts are on the rise, right now there are 1.3 million students that dropout in just one year alone, this number.This is not a good thing to be happening to our economy, we are supposed to prevent things like this from happening and instead it’s happening more and more. That is 26 students every second of the day, or 7,000 every day. 25% or ¼ of all freshman fail to graduate high school on time. We think the U.S is one of top developed countries but in graduation its ranked 22nd out of 27. Dropouts are a serious problem they don’t just drop out they commit 75% of in the U.S. This is obviously a huge problem and wouldn’t be too difficult to fix, we just have to encourage kids to go to school. If kids stayed in school it would help with other problems as well. If kids were in school they would less likely be in a gang or doing something illegal.

High school dropouts are a problem in the U.S and we need to try and fix this. In the U.S being broke is a very common thing and it’s hard to change and fix this. The poverty rate in the U.S is at 13.5 which doesn’t seem to high but thats over 40 million people that are in poverty. That number is huge and that’s just people in poverty what about people that have low income and are about to be in poverty, that is an even bigger number. Millennials don’t seem to care and instead of trying to fix this they’re becoming apart of this, 1 in 5 millennials will live in poverty. Poverty is a huge problem on kids 2.5 million kids experience homelessness in a year, this will result in other effects on the child to.

This is bad but what’s even worse is that 21 million people live in deep poverty they earn only 50% of what it takes to reach the minimum amount to be in poverty. This is obviously a huge problem in the U.S but it seems like millennials are going to continue down the same path. The problem being broke in the U.S is it’s not a problem people wanna talk about, that needs to change and we need to talk about it. With all these things put together the American identity will start fading away, it’ll be a slow fade. American identity is something that we need to make a last time and we need to help one another, we need to strengthen our nation and become stronger as a whole. That would be the only way to help our American identity stay alive and thrive as a whole. America needs to change we need to stop being lazy, stop being selfish, and stop putting others down.

That is not something that people should do we need to be active in our community, we need to help each other, and we just need to build one another up. America just needs to work together, if we can do that the American Identity will strive. America needs to actually unite as a whole and the American Identity will last forever.
