Point – Why school can make students more creative.
Proof – (Top 3 Points)
Comment – Creativity is important as creativity brings out new and exciting idea which in turn creates good leaders.
Creativity is what makes people unique wither it be hair style, lingo, movie, music or clothing style but most importantly of all it gives a person the power to create!
Creativity, a very important aspect within a personality that is ideal for every individual to use and exercise on a regular basis. Creativity is what makes each person unique, without it we would be stuck listening to the same genre of music, the same style of hair and clothes, watching the same movies, there would never be any new and exciting ideas and over all we can tell ourselves that that indeed would make the world a chore to live in.
Now a day’s schools defiantly seem to captivate the idea that overall creativity gives people the power to create and to be a unique individual unalike anyone else, so the school has set in various ways to allow students to become more creative or even just find the creativity spark! From grade nine through to grade twelve if you take a careful look you are able to identify the breaking even point where students are asked to be creative or use the powerful trait on their own.
Teachers are constantly looking for feedback from student’s wither it be from a subject or a lesson which allows others to hear out different individuals ideas in turn giving them a different perspective which is where it all begins. Sometimes teachers just simply hold discussions without any lesson intended, where his/her job is not to teach for that day, but to make the students think and feed of one another’s ideas to seed their original idea but possibly enhance it dramatically! The teacher’s provide the positive “you can do it” attitude when hearing out student’s idea which propels and motivates them as an individual thinker’. Another way the schools help students become more creative is by providing students with guidance, which are a group of people who specialize in helping student’s succeed in highs school as well as helping with the stressfulness of deciding difficult post-secondary transitions, which can really get in the way of some students. With the assistance of guidance it helps students feel much more comfortable with their schooling methods, elective choices and of course the post-secondary transition from high school to either university or college which in turn provides students with a choice, where a creative mind is needed to solve. Moving on to the next reason as to why school makes students more creative, which may be the most important one which are electives.
In high school students are allowed to choose a few classes of their choice which could possibly any ones of the following: Guitar, Choir, Biology, Anthropology, Sociology, Philosophy, Phycology, Horticulture, Fitness, Art, Drama, Business, or maybe even coop. Those were just a few of the possible choices that students can choose. This is mainly the largest contribution to the idea that school makes student more creative mainly as it’s their choice. Sometimes the compulsory courses can be very boring for many students because they truly have no interest in the subject, unalike the electives. The idea is that students will choose the courses they will enjoy and have a connection with. The courses are a little more flexible in terms of content, as every bit of the subjects need’s input, such as an opinion. In these courses students are pushed and encouraged to use their creativity skills to complete assignments and/or tasks which is many students favorite part of high school and in many cases students end these courses with higher marks. In conclusion, if these types of things were not offered in the high school I strongly believe that many students would be lacking the creativity it takes to function uniquely in the real world as it is very difficult for a person to teach themselves how to be creative or even recognize when they were being creative. Which as I has stated in the beginning paragraph of the essay that in turn the if everyone was to be lacking creativity this world would be missing out on plenty.
