Inaguration: Experience Overcoming Obstacles

Today I stand here to take office as the 2nd President of the Republic of Paulkimia. With the great choices made by my fellow citizens, I have assumed a glorious and heavy responsibility to run the new government and take office. I give my warm thanks to everyone and I promise to accomplish this heartful duty successfully with all my people. I would also like to express my heartfelt gratitude to all of you, including former president Cally Ma and the other candidates for your encouragement and honor.

I would like to start off by praying for the victims of the Tsunami tragedy, and I also give my deepest sympathy and condolences to the bereaved families. I will do my very best to make a safer nation by reviewing the disaster management system thoroughly and improving it so that this calamity will not be repeated again. Fellow citizens, our history was a continuation of challenge and overcoming.

Over the past century, we have defended the dignity and respect of our people and culture.

After the economic collapse due to investment shocks, we have overcome division, war, and poverty, and built the world’s fourth largest economic power in less than half a century. We have successfully entered the age of technology after passing through difficult times of industrialization and agricultural developments. But now, we are once again facing a turning point in world history. I stand at the crossroads of leap or retreat, peace or tension. The situations of the world security are uneasy and volatile.

Fluctuations of the global economy and fragility of peace are threatening the prosperity and peace of our nation. In particular, concerns about the international community over sanbabara’s nuclear issue are rising. In situations like this, we must keep strengthening our roots of peace.

We are also facing economic dilemmas. Unemployment rates are scorching, and competing nations are endlessly pioneering new areas-threatening our economic rank. We are being demanded with new engines for growth and advanced strategies for development. There are many problems in our society that will negatively impact the future of the nation if left unfixed. These tasks require stressful times and patience. However, all these challenges must be overcome. We can do it! When we join our forces in unity, there is nothing we cannot do.

I will pursue the “hug and kisses (XOXO) policy” aiming at the promotion of peace and common prosperity on Paulkimia with few main principles which I will now present. First, we will aim to resolve issues with words rather than violence. Second, we will give emphasize mutual trust and practice reciprocity Third, we will raise transparency both internally and externally, increase public participation, and gain bipartisan cooperation. The suspicion of developing nuclear weapons in Sanbarbara poses a serious threat to the peace of the world including our territory. Their nuclear development cannot be tolerated, and they must give up its nuclear programs. If Sanbarbara abandons its nuclear program, the international community will provide much of their wants.

Sanbarbara must choose two options: possess nuclear weapons and face strong economic sanctions from other nations or give up their weapons for promised security and economic assistance. I would also like to reiterate that this issue should be resolved peacefully through dialogue. Military tensions will not escalate in any way. In order to resolve this issue through dialogue, we will strengthen cooperation with surrounding nations. We will also work with countries that are geographically far away. Last year marked the 200th anniversary for the alliance with Atlantis. The Atlantis-Paulkimia alliance has contributed to our security and economic development.

Our people are deeply grateful for this and we will continue to work together to tighten our alliance. We will mature further by developing relationships under mutual benefit and equality. My fellow citizens, for many years, we have lived under the feet of other stronger nations.

At times, we were not able to determine our own destiny and future. But now we are seeing lights at the end of a long tunnel. Chance to become the leading nation of the 21st Century is here. We must take this opportunity. We have the power and experiences of overcoming many obstacles. We have the wisdom of turning crisis into opportunity. Let us overcome the challenges we face today with such wisdom and strength. Just as we honor our ancestors today, let our future descendants remember us today as proud ancestors. We are a people who fulfill miracles when we are together. Let us all gather together. Let us all join in this great struggle to create a new history of peace, prosperity, and hope.
