We need to implement strategies and legislation on how we can stop climate change, the world in its whole need to take this issue more seriously and change their lifestyles.

Climate Change is real! And it is the biggest risk to the human race we face today, but the truth is it’s not as bad as you think it is it’s a whole lot more worse in fact it’s getting so bad that now we will in our lifetime feel the effect of climate change and not just an small increase in temperature or a little rise in sea level we will be having

Climate change has already affected millions of animals, insects, rodents, humans, and so much more.

It has affected all things that are living, in a negative way.

Did you know that if sea levels rise 63cm, 130 million people will be flooded per year due to the low lying islands and coastal communities?

is climate change and we are doing nowhere enough to fix this issue we have ignored this problem for way way to long. We produce nearly 300 million tons of plastic every year that is the equivalent to 7 million cargo jets, plastic is no longer something we can ignore as it has become a serious issue with it finding its way into our rivers and oceans which has started to endanger species of marine life that have been on the earth way longer than any of us have been alive this total disregard we have had for the last 60 years to what we do with plastic has been one the biggest injustices we have done to future generation they will not be able to experience the beautiful and magical creatures we have gotten to see as their will eventually be none left if we continue with this way of life.

Did you know that half of the plastic we produce every year is just single use plastic yes single use we are destroying our earth and everything with it for guess what just our convenience the convenience of not cleaning something so you can use it again this lapse of morals we have is truly disappointing and we all really should really feel ashamed of ourselves what we are currently doing will not only have a massive effect on our future with increasing temperatures and more natural disasters that will be more stronger and intense but it will make life on earth intolerable.

The topic of compulsory childhood vaccinations will be the focus of my oral presentation. This issue has received a great deal of attention in the media over the past six months as the result of data released by the Department of Health that revealed the number of parents who have not had their children immunised has doubled in the past decade. This means that around 40,000 Australian children have not been vaccinated against largely preventable diseases such as: hepatitis, pneumococcal, whooping cough, polio, measles, mumps and rubella. According to a recent poll, 86 per cent of all Australians now believe that childhood vaccinations should be compulsory and this is the position that I would like to adopt. Some of the language and persuasive strategies that I will employ in my oral presentation include the use of accessible medical terminology, the integration of key quotations taken from reliable sources and expert opinion as well as the incorporation of inclusive language such as ‘we’, ‘us’ and ‘our’ children. I will also use a range of evidence, including statistics, research and facts that support the introduction of mandatory childhood immunisation. A variety of appeals will also be included to help to persuade my audience to adopt a pro-childhood immunisation stance. These will be comprised of appeals to common sense to show how children who are not immunised compromise the overall immunity of the population, as well as appeals to the hip pocket nerve to show how parents of unvaccinated children may be prevented from accessing welfare payments and childcare subsidies. I will also make an emotional appeal to my audience by using the real life case study of four-week-old Riley Hughes who died from whooping cough, a largely preventable disease. Throughout my presentation, I hope to employ a range of public speaking techniques to enhance my performance. I will use pauses to add emphasis to the key points of my argument, and I aim to speak steadily and clearly, so that the audience is able to hear each of my supporting arguments. I have a tendency to rush through presentations when I am nervous, so I would like focus on my pitch and pace. As a result, I hope to convince my audience that immunisations should be compulsory for all Australian children aged 0–7.

I am discussing the topic of single use plastic and the effect it has on society with the harm it has having on the world we live in and how we are unable to dispose of it in a proper manner without harming the environment. My contention is that we need to do better job in how we are disposing of plastic as what we are doing now will not be environmentally sustainable and we need to find an alternative which is more environmentally friendly I have decided to make this contention as I feel as if these are two strongest ways to combat the effect of single use plastic I have maintained quite a disappointed yet quite an affection tone throughout the article even though I agitated from the negligence of the previous generation I still try to come off as quite affection for the issue. The audience for my speech is intended to be for the youth of Australia and people who are uneducated on the matter of pollution. I hope I have made the audience take climate change and the effects of pollution more seriously and have made them more passionate on the matter as they are the people who can make a difference in the future and who will have the power to make change happen. I give the argument that if we use decomposable items such as paper straws we will be significantly helping our marine life and making a dent into plastic waste I also give the argument of what will happen if we continue to ignore plastic wastage and how we are essentially doing a really a big injustice to future generation if we do not try to solve this problem. Furthermore, I make an argument of how education on plastic waste will create a big positive change in this big problem as the kids of today will be future leaders and will be the ones that can make a change. I use evidence and statistics to persuade my audience to not overlook this problem as you cannot prove hard facts and science wrong. Moreover, I have used inclusive language to create a sense of unity between me and the audience this will make the reader feel like part of a group and inspired to take collective action. I have also used exaggeration in my speech to create an lasting effect on the audience this creates a sense of fear in the audience minds and will most likely entice them into taking action. I have also used figurative language I have compared the weight of plastic that we produce every year to a cargo jet this will allow the audience to have a clearer vision of the scale of this problem.
