Dear Miss Nelmes, my name is Maisy Wright-Smith and I am writing to persuade you that autobiographies are the most effective text for teachers to use to educate students on the lives of others. This will be clearly proved through my reasons. My points regarding the topic are that autobiographies can help you see what the person was thinking at the time and this is how some of the greatest inventions have been made, by someone making a prediction and someone expanding on it and this would not have been possible if people had no idea what they were thinking.
They are a great tool for teachers to use to help educate kids as students can relate to people like Malala who would be around the same age as them, it also really engages kids that normally would have trouble retaining information in class and this will be clearly proven through facts and information during my reasons.
In addition to these reasons, I believe that you can learn new things about those people either by writing the biography or in it as you can learn things that you didnt know before and not just what the world makes up about them which can be misleading.
You can learn so much from an autobiography without it being painfully boring, and it’s proven through recent research that having fun while learning helps students retain information better.
Kids who enjoy school are more likely to continue in high school and get a good job which will build a sustainable future for them. The autobiography I am Malala provides kids with information in a fun way and helps kids understand what is happening in the side of the world, learning about these things will help children think about the big issues in the world and become more empathetic human beings which the world definitely needs. The Periodic Table is based on the 1869 Periodic Law proposed by Russian chemist Dmitry Mendeleev. He had noticed that, when arranged by atomic weight, the chemical elements lined up to form groups with similar properties. He was able to use this to predict the existence of undiscovered elements and note errors in atomic weights. In 1913, Henry Moseley of England confirmed that the table could be made more accurate by arranging the elements by atomic number, which is the number of protons in an atom of the element.
Sources show that biographies provide the most valuable lessons in life and are very beneficial for young children.
Research shows that having fun while learning also helps students retain information better because the process and learning is fun. When I was reading the biography I am Malala I learnt so many things that I don’t normally learn about, my eyes were opened up to world issues and problems and I felt I finally understood what was going on not just what people’s assumptions were. I got the real picture not just a piece from the actual reality of it.
it also encourages kids to look at a different perspective which can be very helpful in a world where technology can be very misleading.
