Women in America have seen much improvement in our modern day society regarding Women’s Rights. Women have fought for equal rights for many centuries.

Prior to the twentieth century women in America often stayed home to cook, clean and take care of the children. Women were not given an opinion on the household, they simply did what they were told to do. Women typically did not work or go to school, and were often viewed as domestic beings while men were the head of the house. It was not until the late 1800’s, some women were able to volunteer as nurses or housekeepers to help during the Civil War Sivulka.

Women assisted in caring for the injured, as well as cooking meals for the soldiers and doing laundry. Between 1848 and 1920, there was first women’s rights movement that first started in the U.S. back then years ago many women did not have the right to vote or have their voices heard like men did at the time.

Even tough women couldn’t help because they were treated lower that men and were just considered useful in taking care of kids and serving men only.

Women started to joined the first women rights movement to get the right to vote and try to change the ways things were because the main thing that women wanted to develope over the time was the equality that women needed. Many years ago many women couldn’t work outside because of the many laws that women had just like i brought up recently about that women could only stay home and do housework.but this turning point in history led some women to lose power and others to hone the skills needed to win social influence.

The blame of french revolution is women. began with thousands of women unhappy over the price and scarcity of bread. these women grew into some 60 000 marchers two days later. the march turned the tide against royal rule in france forcing the king to submit to the will of the people and proving that the royals were not invulnerable.going back into time. there were the ancient indians. the ancient indians had many roles. they had roles in government in education politics the women occupied many a big majority of important positions. in the ancient bharata varsha women in fact were far superior position to the men of the time. shakti a feminine term means power and strength. in ancient indian literature is immense for women. ancient india had many learned ladies. women activist not only fought for rights to learn to vote but they made a difference happen.
