It’s hard being an ordinary person living a basic live day to day. To us, everything is a task. Waking up, going to work, getting home to live our family lives. But imagine having someone watching your every move while you are walking your dog, taking a daily run, or doing the simplest thing like going grocery shopping. Imagine being a celebrity trying to live a normal life like ours, oh no, not possible.
We all know celebrities for being well dressed with expensive jewelry, and living in big houses.
We see the glamour of life, the perfect life we want to live. But when we see all of this we tend to forget the fact that these celebrities are human beings underneath all the glitz and glamour. And we tend to forget that us trying to get the daily gossip on what they are doing behind the scenes is us butting in on their lives. Celebrities are trained to smile for the camera but we all know that behind all of those practiced smiles that there is unhappiness in these celebrities.
They are human just like you and me and being human, as we all know, comes along with having problems and figuring out ways to deal with them.
Being under the eye of the paparazzi all day isn’t something you can just brush by. Some celebrity’s lives get over-published due to this and they just can’t be themselves. Also, being famous comes with a lot of responsibilities.
You easily become a role model, having individuals looking up to you. Many music artists have suffered consequences trying to juggle the famous life and their basic life behind the scenes. Artists such as Brandy, who suffered from an eating disorder, Mariah Carey, who suffered from a nervous breakdown, and the very famous Whitney Houston, who we all know struggled with a drug problem. All of this occurred from them trying to solve their problems and not having a strong backbone to make it through the bumps in the road.
I do believe that celebrities who are constantly in the spotlight do suffer psychologically and physically because they cannot live their lives as normal as we do. We are always expecting something out of the ordinary from them because they are celebrities. The happiness that we always see on magazine covers, in movie roles, and when we watch our favorite artists perform isn’t always the happiness that stirs inside of them. You don’t have to be famous to know that smiles can cover up a lot of things, especially when you have something bothering you. They are taught to make people happy and content with what they do. To do that they have to cover up all the problems they have and set them aside and that only sets more problems to solve if they ever get the time or privacy.
