I feel very proud every time he calls me to tell me his story about scary places where he had to go and talk to big mining companies to present solutions and all the crazy adventures that he has to go through.

Recently I have been applying for my work visa and I know that many of you do not know what is the process like but let me tell you, is harder than it sounds. When I was about to give up, he was the only one in my family to tell me to don’t give up and gave me the strength to keep going. Two years ago, my dad died from cancer.

My family foundation was shaken and we were really sad. We did not have any grandparents or male figures in the house besides my dad and my twin. Even though I knew it was a difficult time for him, he took over my dad’s place and he was right by our side whenever we needed to. His love also branches out to everyone he ever meets. Have you ever known one of those people that come to you even though you don’t know him makes you laugh in less than five minutes? My twin is one of them. Whenever we go to a friend’s party, a bar, or a hospital, my twin becomes best friends with someone and he always introduces them to me because nobody would believe him that he had a twin.

The last time I was in Peru, I remember that he immediately took me to eat Peruvian food because he knew that I was dying to eat some and have a deep conversation about our lives, I always feel that my twin is the only person that even I made a mistake or something that I should not have done, he would never judge me. (alliteration) I am very shy and inside my shell, it is very hard for me to open up to people but with him, I forget that I am shy. I think that his ability to make friends and pull out the best on everyone is why my twin is so successful in life.

Though the list of virtues my twin possesses is endless I concentrated on three for this speech his perseverance, kindness, and friendliness. (alliteration) I am glad that I had the opportunity to share with you what a strong, sweet, and successful man my twin is. (antithesis) When everyone told me, “give up” he always said, “try one more time”. There is no one in my family that is special to the same degree as my twin.
