My Myers-Briggs personality type is INTJ, or Introverted, iNtuitive, Thinking, and Judging. I first took the Myers-Briggs test my freshmen year in high school, and the results have been fairly consistent over the past four years, I have noticed that I started at the extreme end of the introvert scale, but I’m now in the middle. I think this is because as I’ve grown older I’ve had to mature socially, and the changes in my preferences reflect my growth as a person My type is known as “the mastermind” It is the rarest type in women, and is one of the types most associated with a high IQ, My mother is also an INTI, and we have several inside jokes about our personality typer One is the “INTJ death glare” It would seem that our type has perfected the death glare, and it is a gaze unparalleled by any otheri INTJ’s are also famous for being able to break down an illogical argument, and valuing order and fact above emotion.
We may be seen as cold, but really we have a deep sense of candor and fairness INTJ’s love deep conversation, but we have little patience for small talk I remember being a child and having to learn how to make small talk.
It seemed completely tedious and foreign to me to talk about the weather, ask about someone’s cat, compliment their ugly shoes, and so on and so forth I didn’t care about those things, and I still don’t, They have nothing to do with who the person is, so why bother? I’ve managed to grasp the finer points of small talk, but I’m still quite sarcastic and blunt INTJs also love a great puzzle, which makes us excellent scientists and detectives Our love of a good debate based in logic makes us a great fit for a career in law, as well.
We also excel as professors, because it gives us the freedom to work on puzzles all day, every day. I’m a psychology major, and I hope to teach at the university level and research human behavior.
Most people assume that because I‘m a psychology major I want to be a therapist, but I am the last person who should be a therapist. I don’t have any patience for whining, and if someone is unwilling to help themselves I have no sympathy for them. For these reasons, I would probably be fired very quickly as a therapist. I do love to teach, however, and I‘m very good at it. I discovered this when I began teaching Tae Kwon Do, and I’ve used this skill in groups both at school and the workplace ever since, I’m also fascinated by human behavior, and my INT] heart is perfect for studying the finer intricacies of the human mind. Overall, I feel that my Myers-Briggs type is a perfect reflection of me When I first took the test, it was a real “aha” moment, I felt like I was no longer alone, and I was thrilled to learn that there were others like me. I thoroughly enjoy reading about my personality type, and I‘m even subscribed to several boards on Pinterest that are run by INTJ women, for INTI women I would highly recommend the Myers-Briggs test to anyone who wants to learn more about themselves.
