The title hero is not one that is easily earned or claimed

Most people view heroes as brave, good-hearted, and strong individuals. Being a hero is not easy, it is physically and mentally challenging. Being a hero requires strong willpower, honestly, and over all a strong mentality. People such as soldiers, sacrifice their lives to protect others and their land. That is one perspective of a hero, there are many more, for instance, supernatural heroes are viewed as heroes.

One supernatural hero that can be classified as a hero is spiderman. Spiderman was once an average joe like the rest of us who lived in the ordinary world.

His name is Peter Parker, he was just a regular college student who was fascinated by science. He went to school on a daily basis, had a job, lived with his aunt and uncle and had a normal life.

Parkers life changed after he went on a school field trip. The representative was talking about their new genetically modified spiders and mentioned that they were fifteen, until one of the students mentioned that there was only fourteen.

After she had done speaking, they group left to the next exhibit, while parker asked one of the students to stay, so that he may take photos for his school. While he was taking the photos, the one spider that has escaped started traveling down to meet parker, the genetically modified spider than bit parker in the hand and fleed. At this part of the hero’s journey, Peter gets the call for adventure, not even knowing it.

After he had woken up the next morning, feeling empowered, parker was not sure was happening. His senses had be drastically enriched, parkers senses have changed entirely. He now can see farther, hear better, can move faster, smell better. Later on he finds that he has an ability like no other, he can shoot spider web from his wrists. He realizes that he has this power, so now he has a choice to either do good or evil. His good heart and mind allows him to to choose to do the right thing.

Parker did not gain the title hero as soon as he got bit, he had to go through phases of decisions and and corrections. His first appearance with his super powers happens in the cafeteria at his school. In the movie Gwen slips on a puddle of milk, and he senses before she slips, catching her, and her tray that flew up, including all the food that took a leap. Next he accidentally shot out his wed and caught a lunch tray, not knowing what to do, he pulled it and hit one of the students on the back.

Little did he know, the student he hit was his bully. After that incident, his bully followed him to his locker ready for a beating. The bully swung at Parker, while Parker immediately dodging the punch. The bully gets and wants to keep on going but parker clearly said “I do not want to fight you.” Peter is first confused about his powers ad does not know what to do at first” refusing the call” he lets the bully beat him. After dodging all the incoming punches later, he grabbed his arm and started twisting it, followed by a powerful blow to the chest that sent the bully flying. In all the chaos Peter uncle Ben has always been there to guide him as his mentor even though he might not know what is going on, Uncle Ben tries to give him some advice.

After learning that he has above average abilities, he decides to use them for the good. In parkers city, the crime rates have gotten up, so parker takes the matter into his own hands lends a helping hand to the local police. Parker eliminates the crime and leaves the criminals at the scene of the crime all tied up and ready to be taken away by the police.

Although he was hesitant about his powers, not knowing how to control them properly, and wanting to hide them, in the end he still turned out to be a good guy and help the society. His refusal to the aid of other in the beginning ended up to commitment to a whole new life. He helped as much as he possibly could even if it meant that his social life might worsen. Parker aided to those in need, canceling plans with his friend or loved ones. The first sign that is seen of Parker crossing the threshold would be when he chases down the murder who killed his uncle and accepts the call to action.

Where there are superheroes, there are supervillains. Parkers enemy is the Green Goblin, who used to be one of his friends from school. Green Goblin made it his destiny to destroy Peter Parker because of the relationship that he was with Mary Jane. While the green goblin was causing chaos and commotion, spiderman knew he had to stop him because the goodness of his heart, trying to keep everyone safe.

Peter Parker can be classified as a hero, he takes many heroic actions, knowing the risks, of injury to himself or even in some cases, death. He always puts everyone in front before himself. He has done so much for the city and the people but yet expects nothing in return. From capturing criminals on the street or saving a child from being hit by a car because neither the child or the parent were watching, all he receives is a thank you, but that is all he needs. He has truly made the city a better place, put criminals behind bars, which put and ease on people’s minds.

Not all heroes wear capes, it is what you do and how you act, that determines if you deserve the title hero. Knowing the difference between right and wrong and choosing to do right even when no one is watching. Being honest and humble, being able not to brag about the special superhuman abilities you received and what you can do. A hero, can show and give hope to those who either have lost it or did not have anything to hope for. Those who have earned that title, will go out of their way to help others, follow the hero’s code and abide to who they have become and to those in need.
