Descriptive Writing
Writing DESCRIBES a person, place or thing.
Example:
A brochure describing giant redwoods, a “Lost Kitten” poster that tells exactly what the kitten looks like.

Expository Writing
Writing gives INFORMATION or EXPLAINS.


Example:
An article entitled “How the Internet has Changed Our lives”

Persuasive Writing
Writing attempts to CONVINCE someone to do or believe something.
Example.
An advertisement, an article about importance of water conservation.
