My Experience of Overcoming An Obstacle  

Sometimes in life things happen unexpectedly. I learned from my experiences and overcame the obstacles in my life, which helped to contributed to who I am as an individual. How I later approached life. By not giving up I learned life would put you through a path that would sometimes not be the best of what you expected .

I remembered it liked it was yesterday, I woke up thinking about my grades for the last semester. I was so eager to get to school to see my grades from all of my classes.

I realize it that I failed my math class. By not paying attention and not actively listening I fell behind . Also I did not communicate with the t I did not understand. I was doing the incorrect thing because I was scared to overcome my fear of raising my hand if I did not understand something in class.

My math teacher Mr. James told me retaking the class would be a challenge, but I would overcome this obstacle.

I remember not believing what he said, Then I remembered thinking to myself it’s ok and trying to pull it all together saying I will face this challenge .I will overcome this obstacle, but I know it would be a tough challenge because I will have to take a 10 grade math class.While also taking and 11 grade math class . I will have to balance two different math classes at the same time, and trying not to confusing each math classes with one another .

I would have to deal with my classmates saying things about me taking a 10 grade math class over. I will have to deal with the shame of not passing it the first time and failing it .I have to deal with not giving because I fail something .

I learn how to take negative things and find the positive in them. I believe that success is 99% failure and it’s okay to fail in life. This pay off in new class ,because my experience taught me that through my 17 years of life there will be plenty of obstacles I will have to face. I would then have to find the positive things about it to overcome and let it be a better impact on me in life. I overcame my fear of asking questions when I don’t understand something. This made a bigger impact on me physically because if i did not understand i would get frustrated in give up. mentally through my experience, which made this obstacle so important because it made me more matured I know how to advocate for myself in college by asking question if I don’t understand the lesson I would speak up for myself
