Did you know that it would take over 1.3 million Earths to fill up the Sun? The Sun is a humongous ball of gas that is able to bring the sunrise to us in the morning and provides us with vitamin D that our body needs for bone health. Our solar system wouldn’t be able to do much of anything if our Sun wasn’t present. All of our crops wouldn’t be alive, but more importantly we wouldn’t be alive.

The Sun is major reason why I would invest 10 million dollars into making solar energy the top power source in the market. I believe that one day that at least 50% or more of the energy in the US will be powered by the Sun. Solar energy is a renewable source that has no carbon dioxide waste, is cost effective, and is friendly towards our environment making it the best and safest way to distribute energy to our society.

Our main source of energy today all over the world is coal or oil, and these two sources do provide what we need them to do but they create a by-product that harms us and our environment. The by-product is called CO2 or carbon dioxide which can cause death if consumed in a mass. Furthermore, CO2 weakens our atmosphere which is vital to humans to keep on living on our planet. Solar energy can solve this problem by using the power the Sun provides for us every day.

All over the world there are some form of factories that provide energy for their country such as coal factories or oil factories which all produce CO2 as a by-product when making electricity or energy. Solar panels are basically the complete opposite of what coal factories do. They produce the energy we need to power our houses to our cars without the harmful by-product of CO2. The invention of solar panels has caused a great decrease in CO2 being emitted in the atmosphere, specifically about 1.2 tonnes of CO2 is saved from using a solar panel each year. This amount saved is small but it is definitely better if it helps keep our environment free from CO2 killing and destroying our necessary atmosphere, which is why I would most definitely use all of my 10 million dollars on improving the amount of energy created using sunlight and making them more accessible to the common person.

Solar energy is quite a source or power with it being very cost effective to your funds, a friendly source towards our environment, and it also renewable source that doesn’t produce any CO2 as a by-product. Solar panels cost only about .050 of the cost of one gallon of gas for your car. No CO2 is emitted by the solar panels by them being renewable and not a chemical being burned to make energy. Lastly, this energy source is friendly towards our environment by not polluting our waters or destroying our atmosphere. The Sun is a vital object we humans need in surviving on Earth for as long as we can, and with solar energy we can help make that experience even longer if we switch now and start making solar energy better than ever.
