Title: Why I deserve an A Grade from Public Speaking Class
Specific Purpose: To inform my professor about why I should get a letter A grade on my public speaking class.
Thesis Statement: Everyone wants a good GPA in college, but in order to get it; it requires a lot of effort and hard work.
Attention-Getter: In life, people go to school in their early age to educate themselves to be an educated person. School helps develop social skills and interest for extracurricular.
Ever since kindergarten, the teachers asked students what career they would like to pursue when they grow older. School does not only prepare people for their future major but also prepares one for the real-world situations. People believe that if they do great in school, they will find a well-paid job in the future.
Today, I would like to share with you the reasons why I deserve and want an A grade from this public speaking class.

Body
Ever since I was a kid, Ive never liked to speak in front of people in my life.
On the day I registered for this public speaking class, I told myself that Im going to do fine.
I mean, I can choose a small group or other communication class, but I dont want to.
Challenging myself is what I always do in my life.
With this in mind, I decided to enroll in this class.
After the first pet-peeve speech in class, I felt more confident in myself talking in front of the class.
After all, during the first day of class, I was sitting in the front row carefully listened to the professor.
I dont if you still remember this, but after the first class ended, I went and talked to you about changing my grade option for this class to the credit or non-credit option.
The reason I wanted to do this was Im afraid that I might not do well in the class and I dont want it to affect my 4.0 GPA.
However, after all the explanation for the first major speech from you, I put my effort and practiced it a lot and I got a good grade from my first ever speech.
To be able to stand up in the class looking at everyone, it takes a lot of confidence that some people didnt have. Even though I was shaking so much during my first speech, I still keep pushing myself to get it done.
My confidence started to gain and this class became one of my favorite class during this semester.
[Transition: Now that I have discussed the reasons why I deserve an excellent grade from this class, I will discuss the reason why I want an A grade for this public speaking.]
The importance of a letter A grade in my colleges life.
In college, I believe that everyone wants to get a good GPA in their career.
In order to get this, it requires a lot of effort and hard work.
People say they want an A grade from their classes, but some only some of them truly work for it. And these kinds of people deserve to get a grade they want.
Personally, I am a hardworking and well-organized person.
Regarding this, I always try my best and aim for higher things.
This makes me work harder for the things that I want.
I divided my study schedule and times to relax with friends clearly so that I can maintain a well-balanced schedule for school.
Not only for this class, for every classes I take here in college, I want to get a good grade to keep my 4.0 GPA constant till I graduated.
Because I wanted to pursue to get my masters degree from my major, Finance.
Moreover, having a good grade in college helps me to find a good job or internship during my career.
Today I have talked briefly about the reasons why I deserve and want an A grade from this public speaking class.
For me, I really want to get an A grade from this class because Ive put all of my efforts and hard work to it. I appreciated all your help throughout this semester to make me become another whole person that has the confidence to talk in front of people. I sincerely hope that you will be able to give me a grade that I want to keep my dreams come true.
