My First Jazz Concert Experience

The following sample essay on “Jazz Concert”:  is about my first time experiencing a jazz concert.

Meshelle is and sufful artist I had no idea she works with numerous of people in the industry. Mashelle also did a cover for the popular movie called love and basketball. After researching her accomplishments, I was somewhat at ease to attend the concert.

I enjoy listening to all types of music. However, I normally listen to hip-hop and R&B. I have never experienced a Jazz concert before.

Anxiousness but so nervous. Attended this jazz concert was a new experience for me I didn’t know what to except. I have never really expressed an interest in jazz. The closet I came to enduring jazz is a lauren hill or erkya badu song. Picking a concert was kind of difficult because I didn’t know what to really look for.

Entering the venue, I was anxious but nervous. The concert was in Manhattan NY at Blue Note.

I just knew I would standout and everyone would know it was my first time. This was different from any other concerts I have gone too. When I entered, the atmosphere was different from what I’m used to in a concert. The lights were dimmed and there was a live band playing in the background. This was a mature and welcoming crowd. The admission was $30 so I figured for the price It would be a good show. I sat at the bar but there were options to get a table.

I was surprised how the audience was of different cultures and backgrounds. Others and I were drinking alcohol and eating at the bar. Some people were vibing along with the song. Meshell Ndegepcello was a great performance. The way she played the bass was impeccable. You can tell she took pride in her performance. Meshell Ndegepecello was from Brooklyn NY. Coming from a town of Brooklyn NY people usually believe only rappers come from there. Meshell Ndgegpecello had a unique style to her performance. She has a mixture of Jazz, gospel, funk and hip-hop. One of her song was a good vocal ensemble that was a balance between vocals and instruments.

The melodies that were played at the show added profundity to the show since every one of the artists were exceptionally capable and brought an extraordinary jazz understanding to the concert. The jazz ensemble flowed very well, and I sat in the front row, which was a great experience.

I truly delighted in the tunes of the number of instruments played because each had their very own timbreOne of the songs Marshelle had performed had a relaxing sound. It had a steady and constant tempo. This was excellent for the mood I was inI remember my mom always playing a song by lerjya badu. This songs gave me the chills because it reminded me of my childhood.

Overall, this experience at the Blue Note was a memorable one.
