David, a boy of sixteen. He’s not very athletic, but surprisingly smart for his age. He was a very religious child, but as he grew up his beliefs began to change. Was David part of a telepathic group that could communicate with each other through mental images?
The Storm family is quite wealthy, owning a farm and employing many workers. Although his family is extremely religious. David’s father is Joseph Storm, and his mother is Emily Storm. David also has a younger sister named Petra.
Most of Davids’ friends have the ability to use mental images like him, but the only one in his family believed to have this ability is his younger sister Petra. He is a leader to his friends, but when faced with confrontation, he can be submissive, especially with his father.
David doesn’t have a good relationship with his family other than Petra, but he has great relationships with Rosalind, Michael, Rachel and the other telepathic children in the “group.
” He feels rejected by the Waknuk civilization due to their group beliefs and actions towards deviants, and therefore no longer likes to live there. He seems to really like Seeland in the short time we know of him.
The downfall/weakness of David, who possesses this ability to think, is that he feels the mental and physical pain of other people with the same ability. David, who is an unknown abnormality with this special ability, would be extremely difficult to hide from others in the community, especially his family.
Davids’ emotional weakness is his relationship with his sister Petra and girlfriend Rosalind. These connections are also a tremendous force due to his willingness to protect them.
David does not see the need to kill deviating from the true image, because, in his opinion, like having an extra toe or toe hurts someone or even the ability to think figuratively, while the people of Waknuk do not agree with this and think in any form. it is not a true image, it must be from the devil. David’s beliefs begin to change as he gets older, and his ability to think in images changes from the way the Waknuk people believe in God to more opinions that are marginalized.
He is reasonably educated in academia, but also has great life skills. David has a lot of good life skills that he probably learned while living on the farm that will help him survive, especially when fleeing a group hunting them. These skills seem to have served him well considering they were able to escape.
