In our everyday environment, conduction, convection, and radiation are constantly taking place. They have many applications and can be very useful. Some examples include:

When we heat up pots and pans, the thermal energy is transferred through conduction.
Air conditioners use convection currents to cool the indoor environment.
When heating up water, the heat is applied from below, creating a convection current, which heats up the entire body of water.


Sea breezes are caused by convection currents due to the temperature difference between the sea and land.
Radiation enters greenhouses through the glass. The heat is absorbed and trapped to maintain the temperature.
Solar panels produce electricity by absorbing heat from sunlight through radiation."
