Constitution Rights and Gun Control

Topics: Gun Control

Gun control should mean control, it’s  means control for the government and government start controlling the  people’’ this quote was from Luke Scott , Gun control is a set of laws or policies that regulate the manufacture, sale, transfer, possession, modification, or use of firearms by civilians.. Gun should be allowed anywhere, citizens need guns for self defense, the Second Amendment provides the United States people the rights to bear arms despite the fact more guns equal more crime, our founders father added gun control to the second Amendment in the Bill of rights because they feared the government will have power on the people.

In my opinion Gun control is not a problem, but to other people guns is an issues. To some people gun control is a crime, to other it is a Constitution rights .In my opinion Gun control is a Constitution right, an education that all people should have the rights to. Guns are not for anyone.

Some people cannot handle a firearms safely, and some individuals choose to use firearms inappropriately, our society has passed laws regulating the ownership and use of firearms, and more legislation is being considered.

The minimum age to be able to use a gun is 18 years old or 21 years old, 18 or 21 years old is the minimum age to use a gun because you become an adult and become mature, teens are not that mature to own a firearm, we must first understand why gun control was added to the amendment, the Second Amendment of  the United States Constitution states: A well-regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed or violated .

The  Founding Fathers of our country  included gun control because they feared the Federal Government might have control over the citizens The Founding Fathers’ thought on the right keep and bear arms were influenced by John Locke and Algernon Sidney, the Revolutionary War was won with the help of  continental army which owned guns. It is obvious from that the Founding Fathers of our country  thought that our country benefited from those  firearms in the hands of the people .

The United States has 88.8 guns per 100 per people, or about 270,000,000 guns, which is the highest total and per capita number in the world. 22% of Americans own one or more guns( 35% of men and 12% of women). 52% of American say it is important to protect the rights of American to own guns, while 46% says it is more important to control gun ownership. Guns were common in the American Colonies, first for hunting and general self-protection and later as a weapons Americans used to fight in the Revolutionary war.The Second Amendment was added to the Constitution in December 1791.As mentioned earlier, crime is not the only issue related to firearms ownership. Hunting is a sport in some countries and it is also played on the Olympic. On the surface, it might appear that hunting is harmful to wildlife and the environment. The fact is that the opposite is true.Hunting is a tool used by these officials to manage the wildlife under their care,to hunt for animals,  Firearms are also sports.

There are also many competitions throughout the country. Men, women, older children, and even individuals with certain disabilities can enjoy these sports since shooting does not require much agility or physical strength. Throughout history of our country guns have been the most useful took this days.In some countries like United Kingdom, New Zealand, Ireland, Iceland and New Zealand citizens are not allowed to carry guns. Our country have passed laws to protect society, however the violence continues. Laws attempt to change human behavior, however laws can not able to change human behavior and nature. Laws are not enough to ensure the security of citizens, guns are.We must allow people to protect themselves with guns because it is a constitution rights and the government can not take it aways from the people. In my opinion Protection is a big reason that almost half of all Americans own a firearms. It is a fact that not all people are the same size or possess the same amount of strength. Sometimes people must defend themselves from stronger opponent, or sometimes from multiples opponent .

This especially true for female  since they are, on average, smaller than men. Also, older people have less able to defend themselves as young adult people. Everyone deserve to be safe and be protected, however not many people can  defend themselves.Firearms are the most effective tools used today for self-defense, however they are only use if they are needed . The founding fathers our country won our freedom with firearms. When we won the revolutionary war, we won our freedom, liberty, the Founding Fathers thought on the right to keep and bear arms in the Constitution to ensure that the freedom they fought would last forever .Throughout history of our country  , we have used guns to defend ourselves or stop other from invading our country, hunting. We Americans owned and used firearms for many reasons such as hunting, defending ourselves from criminals or invaders.

You may be asking what if the government take aways all our guns, if the government take aways all our guns how will we defend ourselves, as mentioned earlier Citizens need guns for self defense, the second amendment provides the United states people the right to bear arms it is a constitution right and the government cannot take it away from us, if the government take all our guns we will have trouble defending ourselves from bad people. Criminals have misused firearms badly to gain what they wanted, but some few people commited the crimes, in my opinion those who used guns inappropriately  and not uses it’s appropriately, It will be good for our society if we  should be punish those who commit crime and we should also in prison those  who commit a threat to our society so that they can not be a problem to our beloved society and do not have opportunity to cause harms.

Guns are not the issue of crimes in the U.S. Criminals are. Guns should not be control, criminals should be control  because most crimes are mostly committed by criminals, based on survey data from the U.S Department, roughly 5.9 million violent crimes were committed in the U.S during 2014.Justice crime legislation should lock up the criminals, and more police officers to deter crime and capture criminals that used guns inappropriately. The government should not limit citizens right to own or carry guns . The best way to ensure good legislation is to elect good legislators. Guns may  be dangerous in the wrong hands however gun should not be banned in this country. The best to ensure gun control is a firearms training which will be important to many people.

People should first take a test for them to be able to own guns, it would be good for many people to be able to take this  training test  If the pass they should be able to own a gun, if they do not pass they won’t be able to own a guns until the success the test, if the person taking that test succeed in the training test they should be able to own a gun, however if they failed they should not, they should keep trying until the succeed, What will our country be without guns? Well this are the answer we will be weak, we won’t have a strong military, other country will take control of us like China, Russia, United Kingdom because they are strongest, Russia may be one of the country that may take over us. Well thanks to guns we are the most powerful country in the world, the world respect us because we have a great military, great technology like bombs. Remember that our society benefits from firearms and it is our responsibility to use it properly and safe for good and not for evil.
