A View on Michael Oher's Work Ethics

Michael Oher “big mike” is an outstanding human being. Michael is a courageous, caring, respectful, integrit, compassionate person with an amazing work ethic. Michael literally came from nothing, from sleeping on someone’s couch with an extra shirt to living the life only 224 people a year get the chance to have. Michael is someone that i look up to and someone i want to be like.

Michael Ohers work ethic is amazing, Michael had nothing except for one t-shirt and a work ethic.

On the first day of spring football practice michael didn’t even know how to get down into a stance and on the last day he committed to a major division one college for football. This shows you that he just will not give up. Anything you put your mind to you can achieve and that is exactly what michael oher did, and now he’s a millionaire with a super bowl ring.

Being compassionate about something is a trait that we all have and sometimes we just don’t know it.

Michael had a compassion for football and he knew about it, but, he didn’t know he had a compassion for school. Michael entered a private school with a GPA that started with a 0. I do not think that anyone would have the heart to do that. Even though he entered a private school with a terrible GPA he got out and graduated with a 2.5 and got a scholarship for football. If that doesn’t show compassion i don’t know what does.

Michael is a sweet loving and caring person outside of the football field. Dont mess with anyone in his circle because you will regret it since he tested in the 98 percentile for protective instincts. When michael got into a car accident with SJ it just proves that he cares for the people he loves since he was so mad at himself for letting that happen, and because he stopped the airbag that could have potentially killed SJ.

Respect is something that is earned not given, and Michael earned his respect in this movie. Michael always addressed someone as Mr. or Ms. and he always says yes ma’am or no maam even yes sir and no sir. Michael is a respectful young man and that is one of the reasons he got accepted into the touie family from folding their sheets after they let him stay to giving them all hugs before he left for college. If michael was not respectful he would probably still be on the streets today, in and out of jail, or selling dope. The touies saved his life.

All in all, the blind side is one of my favorite movies, every time i watch it i get goosebumps no matter what and michael oher is such a great person. The touies literally saved this man’s life and they didn’t even mean to, they were just doing it out of the kindness of their heart and now he is a professional football player with a superbowl ring if someone ever tells me i cant do do anything i’m just going to think of michael, close your eyes, count to 3 and prove them wrong.
