The computer that provides us information and the wireless systems that let us share and communicate with others are all parts of engineering. Electrical engineering has an interest in people’s everyday lives and are affected by what’s made everyday. Electrical engineering has many important influential on in society include computer engineering, communications, software ,and technology. Technology has an important role in computer engineering in it, where engineers develop circuits and softwares and hardwares for computers. The better that they create these devices the better the computer will perform and give us more information.

With these better devices, computer engineers will use that to make well-performing programs for the world. The programs that are created from this can be used to create a better function for one’s daily life or other engineering topics.

Picking the right career path will mean the contrast between being fulfilled and being frustrated with my life. My decision that I am going to make at a young age will have a major impact on the next ten years if not the rest of my life.

In order to make the best decision possible for my future, I have decided to research a career of interest to me. There are many different types of engineering, so I decided to pick the one most interesting to me. Electrical engineering is that the career field I even have chosen to research. Engineering is something my parents have urged me to consider. I have been interested in building things ever since I was a little kid.

Ever since I was a young child I was always fascinated by how things work. I will always take my toys apart and study each individual part. I would then attempt to put the pieces back together and have it work again. As I got older I learned how to do this process with more complicated products. For example, I decided to take apart an old computer and study each individual component. I saw that the computer was made up four keys component: motherboard, computer processing unit (CPU), hard drive, and the power supply. From first glance, an observer only sees a computer case; in reality, what makes the computer work are the key components listed above. Legos were my favorite toy growing up, and I have always been exceptionally good in math. Many of my friends and families were recommending engineering as an attainable career choice so therefore I made a decision. Math and Science always helped me to like engineering.

Since I have always found electricity to be the best option to be I decided to learn more about electrical engineering as a future career. During my science fair, I always wonder how electricity flows through homes. There are two different types of electrical circuits, parallel and series circuits. Homes run on parallel because parallel has multiple paths. For example, if a light bulb is burned then the other one is still working. When it comes to the series circuit it is, not used in houses because it uses single path not multiple paths. For example, your Christmas lights if one light bulb gets burned the other light bulbs would not turn on. I turn to Nikola Tesla because he was able to visualize the buildings and inventions in his head without drawing sketches. He pioneered wireless communication. He didn’t let other people discourage him. He pioneered inventions for the future. Nikola Tesla inspired me to set goals and to not let anyone discourage me from accomplishing my goals.
