Black Lives On Matter

Look at the color of my skin, I am black on the outside and within. Looking into our future, I’m afraid for my black brothers and sisters. Black lives matter is a political and social movement originating among African-Americans, emphasizing human rights and racial equality for black people and campaigning against various forms of racism. I believe black lives matter; for others state that all lives matter. Saying all lives matter is a way to criticize the movement. The black lives matter movement needs to be respected and stop being undermined.

We as blacks have to fight to be seen and heard. I argue on the behalf of this movement stating that no matter how much blood, sweat, and tears we place in our work others still ignore us, and this movement is a great nonviolent way to protest for human rights.

Black Live Matter (BLM) was found in 2012 following the acquittal of George Zimmerman who was responsible for the death of Trevon Martin, the BLM movement represents a renewed effort on the part of the African Americans community in the United States.

In addition to this movement, we as African Americans have to fight ten times harder to be seen and heard. I believe that no matter how much education we have others still don’t treat us equally. Don’t we all put on our pants the same way? This movement states the need to educate all Americans concerning the extrajudicial killings of black Americans by law enforcement and vigilantes.

Our ancestors were beaten; for they could not stand up for what they believe was right because the white man was the head and were the tail.

There are so many things that I can talk about when it comes to African Americans and how our people are treated with injustice. Trayvon Martin, a seventeen old African American boy . He was shot by George Zimmerman, a mix race twenty eight year old man. Zimmerman was the neighborhood watch coordinator for his community where Trayvon sometimes visited his family members. Trayvon was shot although he was unarmed during a physical altercation between him and Zimmerman. Zimmerman stated that he was defending himself. The suspect, Zimmerman was charged with second degree murder, yet the verdict was not guilty. Because Trayvon was a black young man Zimmerman was found not guilty. Ask yourself if a black guy was to kill an unarmed white guy would he have been founded not guilty. The answer to this question is certainly no. This is one example of African American injustice.

The BLM movement is not to over look the lives of the others who are not black, but it’s to bring awareness and justice for us blacks who have been treated wrong for decades! I argue that this movement should stop being undermined. We should all come together as one and love each other for what is on the inside and not the outside. If we all were to cut ourselves we would all bleed out one color which is red. So why not be equal for we were made the same. We all need to stop judging the book by its cover. I wholeheartedly believe that some are taught to hate each another, but if we look back into history Martin Luther King didn’t fight for anything. He fought for everyone especially African Americans to have equal human rights. So we should stop the hating and begin to love. We can’t erase the past, but we can right our future. Black Lives Matter.

Another way to let our voices to be heard is by talking to one another and not yelling at each other like dogs. We should learn how to communicate to one another, and don’t be afraid just because of our skin color. White should not be more dominant over blacks; for we should all be equal. Our ancestors have been through a lot for us to have a say in this world. This campaign is another way for us African Americans to say how we feel and stand up for what is right. The BLM is a great nonviolent movement that protest the rights for blacks rights. We need to be treated fairly! It’s time out for hatred. Let’s start campaigning; for our lives do matter as blacks. We are entitled to be seen and heard, and most of all we entitled to be respected! This movement educates others and show others that racism is real, and it’s still happening in today’s world. The law enforcement injustice is not okay. Trayvon Martin and others do deserve justice for being black is not an excuse. Let’s all take a stand for Black Lives. Say it loud “I’m black and I’m proud!”
