The colony did accept a treaty with Chief Massasoit which eventually led them to achieve their goal. Massachusetts Bay Colony: They had two main goals establish the foothold for England and build model Christian settlement. It Began in 1630, and within a year there was a population of 1000 and in 10 years their population was about 20,000, their problems started to become with religion because of their strict laws, lack of food, supplies, and living arrangements were not successful in their colonial movement.
