ABSTRACT

The Smart Assistant Trolley which will make work faster and will done the 80% of job. The aim of the project is to give customer a best comfortability and less manpower which includes time saving and exploring new generation technology and get best benefits as much as it can.

This trolley built mainly for large Grocery stores and Malls.

It will assist the consumer with the help of our installed application in tablet/mobile about needed items/products in manner of searching through tablets and added regular offers. With trolley a RFID reader will be plotted beside Tablet, by using RFID reader consumer will scan the item and then the installed application will read and show its details on the screen of tablet/mobile .

By this the consumer can save time from standing in queue and afterwards at last we given an online payment system so that the consumer should not be standing in the queues.

Problem Summary

In this technological era, almost everything is moving forward to IOT based technology, enabling people to do most of work effortlessly .

This project is built for saving time while shopping in Malls/Marts and managing the customer shopping transaction using unique Id.

There are cases where people do not have much time for shopping because of long queue at checkout counter.

Many time while in the shopping marts, Item rack places were changed and for that regular people get confused to locate items and waste their time .

Also , the main time wasting moment come after shopping and the moment is checkout time . As we know mostly at checkout counter there is a long queue so, we will help the customers by payment through online gateway.

Our proposed solution tries to resolve many such above discussed problems and circumstances with great ease and tries to serve our primary goal of providing better customer satisfaction .

Aims and Objectives

1. To experience new generation of shopping technology.

To facilitate faster and easy locating item addresses.

Make customers experience through technicality and greatly tackle the problem of time intrupting.

To cope up with emerging technologies and the technical developments.

Literature Review

1. We Studied various research papers related to smart shopping trolley to get a clue about existing problems faced by people.

2. We referred the research paper of ICMT and IEEE conference-Specific journals for getting insights of this project.

3. We studied and referred to documentation , manuals of UML-diagram-preparation softwares.

4.As per our survey money and average time spent on each customer is high especially in overcrowded supermarkets. The shopkeepers are ready to welcome any smart machines that automate the billing process to reduce manpower and time consumed for that process.

Whenever we went for shopping,we get all kinds of Product and what we need at a time that is good gesture.

Database were created and accessed via internet using a Android Application for different functions like to see Records of location of item racks, customer account details and payment through wallet, etc.

Conclusion and Scope of further Work

In shopping markets, there is so much inconvinence environment where it seen because of customer’s don’t want to waste time and want to do their work fast as much.

For that incovinence we building this project with the help of trolleys .

There will be a fixed tablet/smartphoane which support new versions of android application , in that application we will provide a register , login for customer to save their data in a Server and a Search bar for searching items and locate it easily to continue their shopping and manage it as quick as possible.

Further work scope,

They can add item in cart by reading the item id through provided RFID reader which will plotted beside a touchscreen tablet so that they can see the items list and shop in a budget.

At last, the online payment can give more benefits , don’t need to carry hard cash (go cashless) and also don’t need stand in a line for bills . It will automatically updated to your registered account about your transaction so that you don’t to wait for bills (Here the bill papers are also getting saved by e-payment option).

This can be the advancement we can do for further partial project.
