For example. during the well—known balcony scene in the play. she says. ”Or. if thou wilt not. be but sworn my love. and I’ll no longer be a Capulet” (2.2.35-36). This quote has a lot of emotion and passion in it. In this quote, she is telling him to swear his love for her only an hour or so after they met She also says that if he does. she will swear off her name for him. leaving her family name behind. It shows her passion because she only met him about an hour or so ago, and she Is already telling him that if he swears his love for her that she will leave her family.

For example, in the balcony scene, Juliet asks how he got there, Romeo replies with. “By love, that first did prompt me to inquire. He lent me counsel and l lent him eyes” (2.2.8081), In this quote. he says love brought him there. It is what made him find her. Romeo is just as passionate about her as she is about him. In the first quote, she stated that if he swore his love to her that she would no longer be a Capulet. Now, he is saying that love brought him to her when she asked how he got there. Knowing this. Juliet says this after she gets the nurse to leave. Her plan is to go to the Friar and see what he can do to help her get to Romeo and to help her out of the situation. Then she says if she cannot get out of the situation, she will kill herself.
