What Makes Tim Burton Movies Timeless?

I love Tim Burtons movies because of the way they carry his audience into the depths of his imagination. He isnt only a filmmaker but also a great artist who expresses himself through his art. His style and connections to his movies are what makes him and his movies so unique and memorable. My first time watching his movies I was amazed by all the characters and the detail that was put into them. My favorite movie is The Nightmare Before Christmas because of all the characters, the love between Jack and Sally, and most of all because of the way Tim combines my favorite holidays together, Halloween & Christmas.

Tim Burtons movies are timeless because of his imagination, creativity, style, and humor.

To begin with, Tim Burtons movies are timeless because of the way he carries his audience into the depths of his imagination. His imaginary world has drawn so much attention and people into it. All his movies let us experience the adventure and excitement going on in his mind.

I personally love his movies because they all have a cute but sad story behind it, he makes these monsters and people in a unique way that doesnt make them scary just interesting. He sends a clear message through his work, people are not defined by their appearance.

The characters he creates are mind-blowing, and the way he just gets these ideas to create them and tell a story about them by just thinking about his childhood, or wearing striped socks is amazing.

All his work shows life as both kind and tragic, beautiful and cruel, funny and disturbing. When he was younger, he was always alone and isolated from others, and that had a strong effect on the way his mind worked. He is known for his dark, gothic, and eccentric horror and fantasy films such as Beetlejuice, Edward Scissorhands, The Nightmare Before Christmas, Sleepy Hollow, Corpse Bride, Dark Shadows, and Frankenweenie. The work he does is beyond anyone’s imagination and that’s what gets the audience hooked on his movies that he takes you into his imagination trough his artwork and movies.

Aside from that, Tim Burtons movies are timeless because he isnt only a filmmaker but also a writer and artist who expresses himself through his art. He has always drawn since he was a child, sometimes art teachers try to push kids to draw more professional or appropriate. Tim’s teacher always inspired him to draw the way he liked, which were out of the ordinary drawings. His paintings and drawings are his way of expressing to communicate his feeling and ideas. All his movies start from a single drawing that has a beautiful, unique story behind it. Disney once hired him, but he didnt enjoy it because it wasnt his style and they though his work wasnt appropriate for the children.

The inspiration for his movies and drawings comes from his favorite authors like Edgar Allan Poe and Roald Dahl, the black and white colors of old films because of the way they reflect of each other, and movies he used to watch as a child, like thrillers, cartoons, and science fiction. My favorite characters that he created are Jack Skellington, Sally, and Zero. He took inspiration from Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer and How the Grinch Stole Christmas to write this film. His art is represented by the world and the people that surround him. There isnt a moment Tim isnt drawing, his partner states he draws on 10 different notebooks at the same time and sometimes, he doesnt have to have paper he will go off anything; for example, walls and tables. Its a way for him to focus and unleash his imagination throughout the day.

Lastly, Tim Burtons movies are timeless because of his style and connections to his movies. He is one of the most unique and extraordinary directors of our time, his style is what makes his movies and art one of a kind. I noticed how all his movies mainly have the dark grey and black background, making the colors reflect off each other. His characters are made to pop out of the background with different colors, but they arent bright colors they still have a bit of darkness to them like maroon, navy blue, yellow mustard, etc. Its rare when he uses bold and bright colors like in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

If youve ever watched his movies you will notice the main characters all have the same thing in common, they are all judged or looked down on by others and dont fit in with the rest of society. Tim Burton has always felt like an outsider since he was young, and he reflects himself in these characters telling a different story. For example, in Edward Scissor Hands, he lives in the mountains and dresses in dark clothes different from the friendly town thats all bright and happy.

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Willy Wonka isolated himself for years in the factory he was different than the rest of them since he was a young boy. Coraline, she just wanted her parents attention, but they always isolated her and pushed her away. He puts a piece of himself in his work not just through his films and art but the stories themselves, they are told different, but all have the same connection. Tim Burton has always had that dark, gothic, and eccentric style. The characters he creates have a pale deathly look to them, making them all unique in their own way.

He puts a different creature in different scenarios and makes them fit in some way, making them pop out. My favorite thing about his movies his own he can make the characters so creepy and sometimes mean, yet there is always someone that falls and cares for that person no matter how different they are. You can always know what to expect in Burton’s films because he uses the same technique in color tones, and characters like Johnny Depp and Helena Bonham. Nothing changes in his films other than the story, scene and the design of the characters. Thats what makes every one of his films unique and timeless because they all tell a different story but have a bit of him in them.

In conclusion, Tim Burton’s movies are all timeless because of his imagination, creativity, style, and connections to his movies. Some of his movies dont really seem like kid movies because theyre so dark and scary. I always watch his movies with my nieces and nephews, and they seem to enjoy them, my nephew is only 9 months and his favorite movie is Coraline. In my opinion, it’s just the dark colors that make the movies seem like horror movies. I hate watching them in the dark or at night because even thou I enjoy watching them some of his movies like Coraline, Frankenweenie, and Beetle Juice have creepy scenes in them. He puts a lot of thought and works into his films, which makes them interesting. Burton even has his own art exhibit in Las Vegas, it shows all of his artwork, films, characters, costumes, and so much more. All of his films are unforgettable, and up to this day his most famous film is The Nightmare Before Christmas, and its all his imagination that creates these timeless films.
