Music brought around shift in the history and change of culture from the working class, adult and the youth that glorified the popular music. The rock music was purely American, the musicians of back then played different genre which included; Jazz, blues, gospel, country, bluegrass and honk-tonk.

Later, the music evolved quicker embracing the technology and adapting to the change of style. As result, different styles like folk rock, soul, hard rock, and art rock were born. Rock music has been and always will be music of the youth. Music spread to the streets like wild fire affecting the fashion industry at large. Despite the tuff competition rock music received from the pop music, it has remained independent and intact even today. Rock music perceived as the music of underprivileged, disaffected, angry, unruly, idealistic and discontended and yet still emerge as the most popular music of America. He set up the equipment at a warehouse in Bristol, Tennessee offering $50 to anyone who offered to audition. As result, the Carter Family and Jimmie Rodgers become commercial successful and important performers of the country music. Honk-tonk grew out of the bars and road houses of Texas and south where the patrons were rough, rowdy, and hard drinkers. During the American Revolution, musicians and song writers referred upon ballads which traditionally circulated in large sheet of papers called broadsides. The hawkers alongside broadside sang melodies about the ballad with their unique catchy chorus. The place garden a place used for entertainment in England was famous for its beauty. Enormous parks filled with trees and lined paths that brought pleasure among the people. The gardens provided an extra ordinary experience for an urban audience especially during concert for the professional composers. American popular music has been closely influenced by the dance. The music dances were popular in England at the beginning until the 20th century, social dancing among Americans was dormant.
