My intended audience for this Feature Article would be veterinarians, animal lovers, anyone that owns an animal, different animal organizations such as the ASPCA (American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals), PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals), and antivivisectionists (animal welfare advocates) who would be willing to take a stand for animal rights and prevent animal cruelty. The majority of the audience would be females, since their make up products are contributing to the cruelty of these animals, but males might also be interested as some products they use may also be a factor in the unethical methods used on animals. The age group could range from teenage years and beyond, for animal enthusiasts do not have a specific age group. Furthermore, race and sexual orientation of my audience do not matter because all races and sexual orientations could feel strongly about this matter. My secondary audience could be scientists who actually participate in experimenting on animals or the United States Government. The United States Government could be apart of my secondary audience because they should start to get involved in animal rights and add regulations to testing on animals and how they are treated. My paper would most likely be published in a Veterinarian Journal such as the American Veterinary Medical Association Journal or the Animal Welfare Journal because both will target an audience that may have the same concerns presented in this paper and this paper may influence people who read those specific journals to stand up for animal rights.
