The Holocaust and Jewish Prejudice Paper

For some, it seems that the Holocaust occurred in another lifetime, but for others it will be something they will never forget. The Holocaust was a time for fighting. The Jewish would fight for the right to live as they were killed solely for being Jewish. The Holocaust began in 1939 and would continue through 1945, during which the isolation, segregation and collective prejudice of the Jewish population were made due to Hitler’s totalitarian control over Germany.“Through clever and constant application of propaganda, people can be made to see paradise as hell, and also the other way round, to consider the most wretched sort of life as paradise.”1 Adolf Hitler wrote these words in his book Mein Kampf, to indoctrinate the German population to NAZI ideals. Following the Nazi seizure of power in 1933, Hitler established a Reich Ministry of Public Enlightenment and Propaganda headed by Joseph Goebbels2. The Ministry’s aim was to ensure that the Nazi message was successfully injected through music, radio, films, theater, art, books, educational materials, and the press. To produce anything that was in these groups, you had to be a member of the Reich Chamber. The Nazi Party decided if you met the requirements to be a member. As a result, Nazi Germany introduced a system of censorship in which people were subjected only to anti-Semitic material such as: “The Eternal Jew” and “Jud Su?” and without any opposition the German population fell prey to its fraudulence. Soon after the Jews were viewed as vermin corroding a once great society, Hitler was viewed as the savior of Germany delegated to unite the people against a common threat.
