I found his work to be very inspiring and a reflection of his bravery, especially his work in starting a citizen’s investigation of the deaths of school children in the earthquake in 2008. His use of modern technology to present his daily life is made to seem like more than simply blobbing, but instead a different art style with a strong, clear message.

I believe the reason that the Chinese government has yet to kick Ai Well out of the country Is because of the potential backlash that a move of that magnitude would provoke. AY well’s use of social media has made his battle with the political system in his entry a very public subject, and I can imagine the government would rather not have to give any ammunition for Ai Wee to use against them, although they already have in other instances.
