Is Success Our Desire

The following sample essay on ” Is Success Our Desire”. If we were asked whether success is our desire, the answer would definitely be yes. Generally, success can come in many forms, be it to succeed in our studies, careers, relationships and many more.

There are many ways to achieve great accomplishment in our life such as perseverance and focus. However, to deem for success and to actually succeed without failing sounds too good to be true. In this case, I can openly admit that I’m afraid to fail, but I am more afraid that I will fail to accomplish anything of significance without even trying.

First and foremost, I believe that failure is the first step to success because after countering a failure, we get to know where and what exactly went wrong. It’s learning how to handle and grow from these experiences that make us stronger and provide better position us for future successes. Failure can not only teach you what went wrong, it inspire creativity and provide motivation for working to succeed and is also an opportunity to grow even bigger.

Next, failure can act as a mechanism to lift up our spirit. In order to succeed we need to ignore everything else and focus on the process of learning from our mistakes. For example in a situation where we were given a task by our lecturer and suddenly we came across a problem which causes us to fail, that means that we have not yet achieve the target that we are supposed to meet.

Knowing that we already failed before, it should be a reason for us to keep on trying and improve whatever that we have not yet mastered and to fix the problem.

Other than that, the thing that convinced me the most about being able to success after a failure is because many successful entrepreneur have proved so. If we go through the life story of anyone who has achieved something extraordinary, chances are we’ll find a story of failure somewhere along the way. For example, before dropping out of Harvard and creating Microsoft, Bill Gates co-founded a traffic monitoring website called Traf-O-Data, which failed. However, after years of trying and correcting his mistakes, he is now listed as second richest person in the world by Forbes and the same goes to other billionaires on the list.

As a conclusion, I can say that failure is inevitable in achieving success. This means that it is surely acceptable to fail along the way, but does not mean that we can simply stop there. Of course, if a person is constantly failing and does not turn those failures into success, it is not going to give them great outcome, but a person that is afraid of failure and does not even want to try is rarely going to succeed at all. To sum this up, both process, which is failure and corrections are needed in order for a person to become successful at the end of the day.
