Hello! My name is Eesha Bandaru. Im a sophomore(obviously) and this is my second year at Fremont High(obviously). Im 15 years old and from India. Im very excited to be in your class this year and Im really not sucking up to you Im honestly excited to get to know you and learn about literature from around the world. I love binging TV shows on Netflix and watching movies. I also love reading books of mostly all genres although, I really dont like nonfiction books. Im a really big foodie. I love trying all sorts of food and even though I dont enjoy some foods that I try, I love the experience. I also LOVE travelling and when Im done studying or getting into a stable career, I would love to travel all around the world and meet new people. I also hate lizards and all my friends try to scare me with lizard pictures(they usually succeed). Im very passionate about helping people and making them get over any insecurities so they can be the best versions of themselves. My biggest interest is psychology and I really want to major in that field and get a PhD in psychology. The most important thing in my life is my family. I mean we all fight a lot and are pretty weird but we all love each other very much and without the support of my family, I know that I wont get anywhere in life. Another thing that is very important to me is badminton because its a sport that I’ve been playing for a very long time and another important thing in my life is Zac Efron. He has been the love of my life since I was 8.
As a student in english, I can understand the reading material pretty well and can analyze the text above the surface and come to conclusions. I can also talk and share out my opinions in a class discussion but, I get nervous when presenting in front of the class alone. One of the more challenging parts for me in English class are writing essays or deeply analyzing the text. For the essays, I can gather thoughts that make sense but when it comes to putting them on paper, I have difficulty explaining them thoroughly which makes my essays sound unprofessional and sound like a fifth grades wrote them. Hopefully, in your class, I get better at putting ideas on paper while they still make sense. My greatest success has been when a poem I wrote was published in a book. It wasnt a very special poem and I think pretty much everyone that sent in an entry got theirs published but, it was still really cool to have my mark in a book.
If I knew I cant fail was try a form of Indian dance called Bharatnatyam again. I was trained for about a year but quit after because it requires a lot of training, concentration, hard work and patience and I just didnt have any of tat cause I was 5. Now, I see all the other girls that started with me finish their training and go on to perform professionally, it makes me go back in time and finish my training so I can perform with the people in my class like 10 years ago.
Just by looking at me, many people think Im a really mean person and Im intimidating and somehow they feel like Im going to insult them in front of everyone and corner them. But, Im actually not like that at all! Im super out going and accept everyone and probably the least judgemental out of everyone in my friend group(yes, I have THAT friend group that judges everyone) Hopefully that opinion of me will change as this year goes by!
One goal that I have for this year is not be nervous when I have to give a speech or presentation. I also want to learn ways where I can explain my ideas in a way that my readers can understand(I guess that’s 2 goals).
Im really excited for this year! Hopefully I learn many new things!
